NEW ZEALAND SECONDARY SCHOOLS SEASON

IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT WEEK & NATIONALS DATES

  • Junior Premierships Zone 1, 2, 3 : August 26th - 29th
  • Junior Premierships Zone 4 : August 27th - 30th
  • Northern, Central & Southern Cup : August 30th - September 1st
  • Premierships - 'AA' Zone 1, 2, 3 & 'A' - August 30th - September 2nd
  • Premierships - 'AA' Zone 4 - August 31st - September 3rd
  • Due Date: Registration of your Team, Players, Referee, Entry Fee and Roster Form
    • Wednesday 28th June 2023
    • (invoices will be sent out once entry is received)

 

  • 'A' Nationals - September 25th - 28th 
  • 'AA' Nationals - September 25th - 30th 
  • Due Date for those who qualify: Registration of your Team, Players, Referee and Roster Form & Entry Fee
    • Wednesday 6th September 2023
    • (invoices will be sent out once entry is received)

ONLINE TEAM REGISTRATION

If you are unsure of which tournament to enter your team/school into, please click HERE and read under 'NZ Secondary School Tournaments Explained'

 

Once you have registered your team, please send the code onto your players and start player registrations now. Even if your tournament team is not yet finalised, register all players who could potentially be playing. See "Player Registration Guide" below.

PLAYER REGISTRATION GUIDE

Please note there has been a change to the online player registrations and all players that have not previously registered will need to enter their own information. Personnel registering the team will be sent a link that they can send on to players to register themselves, OR players can be sent this link directly: 2023 Secondary Schools Player Registration (they will need the team code to register as a player, the team code will be sent through to the person who registers the team).

 

Please start the player registration process now. Even if your tournament team is not yet finalised, register all players who could potentially be playing.

 

 

HARD COPY ROSTER FORMS

A reminder that all teams MUST complete a hard copy roster form and have this signed off by the school principal. 

Your team registration is not complete without this roster form.

COACHES INFORMATION

Community Course Level 1

All secondary school coaches attending Basketball New Zealand single A and AA tournaments must complete the BBNZ Community Course Format 1.

  3. Thriving Under Fire

DrugFree Sport NZ

We encourage all secondary school coaches and administrators to complete the DrugFree Sport NZ Level 1 E-Learning course, that is designed for support personnel who have never received anti-doping education.

REFEREE INFORMATION

ALL teams must supply a referee - this is a condition of entry into a BBNZ tournament.
